What to buy for your shop

Printers, readers, cash drawers and accessories that work with Atiéndalo, with links to buy them.
Atiéndalo runs in the browser, so the computer or tablet you already own is enough. All you have to buy is two devices and a roll of labels. Below is the full selection, with what to check before you pay.
The links go to searches on Mercado Libre and Amazon México, not to one particular seller: listings sell out and prices change every week, so this way you always see what is there today. The prices in this guide are approximate for 2026, for budgeting.
We have no relationship with any of the brands shown, and we earn nothing if you buy. Always confirm compatibility, ports and warranty with the seller before paying.
The minimum to open

That is all. You don’t need a receipt printer: the Atiéndalo receipt is digital, a link the customer opens on their phone or that you email them. You don’t need a dedicated terminal, a server, or any software to install.
Label printer
Any 203 dpi thermal printer works, which is essentially everything sold in Mexico. What changes between models is the roll width they take and how well the Windows or macOS driver treats them.
Xprinter XP-365B
The cheap, reliable pick. This is the one we recommend if it is your first printer.
Xprinter XP-420B / XP-470B
The same thing but faster, with better feeding. For labelling hundreds of pieces in a row.
Zebra GK420d / ZD220
The retail standard. Expensive, but it lasts years and you can get parts.
Beeprt 110 mm
Takes wide rolls and connects over Bluetooth, handy if you label from a tablet.
Niimbot B1 / B21
Pocket-sized and portable, driven from the phone. Uses the brand's own rolls.
Phomemo M110 / M120
Portable and cheaper than the Niimbot, with the same pros and cons.
Before paying, check that it is direct thermal (not thermal transfer, which needs a separate ribbon) and that it takes the roll width you plan to use. The full install, calibration and scale recipe is in Labels & printers.
Already have a laser or inkjet printer in the office? It works: buy Avery 5160 sheets and use the sheet size in Atiéndalo. It costs more per label, but it gets you started.
Barcode reader
Buy a 2D one. A 1D reader reads your product barcodes and costs less, but it cannot read QR codes, and Atiéndalo gift cards and customers are identified by QR. The difference is a few hundred pesos and it saves you from buying twice.
Lector 2D USB con cable
The most reliable thing for the counter: plug it in and it works, no batteries, no pairing.

For receiving merchandise and counting stock while walking the shop.
Honeywell / Zebra de mostrador
A serious brand: it reads beaten-up codes and phone screens on the first try.
Three things to check before paying, whichever model you pick:
- It says HID or keyboard mode. That is the factory mode of nearly all of them; if the listing only mentions “serial / SPP mode”, move on to the next one.
- It sends Enter at the end of each read, or the manual has the setup barcode that turns that on.
- It is 2D / QR, not just a “laser reader” (that almost always means 1D).

In the meantime, the phone
If the reader hasn’t arrived yet, the phone camera scans. At checkout, on stock receipts, in a physical count and in the scanner test there is a Camera button that opens the device camera and reads barcodes and QR codes. It is slower than a reader, but it lets you work from day one.
Rolls and sheets
The consumable matters more than it looks: the roll size decides what fits on the label.
Rollo 56 × 13 mm
Hanging clothes and accessories. The jewellery label that folds over the thread.
Rollo 50 × 30 mm
The do-everything size: the full product name fits alongside the code and the price.
Rollo 40 × 30 mm
Smaller and cheaper, for small shelf products.
Rollo 58 × 40 mm
The big one. For gift cards and customer QR codes, where the amount must read at a glance.
Hojas Avery 5160
If you already have a laser or inkjet printer and don't want to buy a thermal one yet.
Two details when buying rolls: direct thermal, not “thermal transfer”; and removable adhesive if you label consignment merchandise, so the brand gets its piece back without glue on it.
A tablet for the counter
Optional. Atiéndalo runs in the browser, so any recent Android tablet or iPad works as a register; with a USB-C reader plugged in it is as good as a computer.

A small, cheap tablet for the register. With a USB-C reader it is as good as a computer.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 11"
The same idea with a big screen, nicer if the register also checks reports.
Cash drawer
There is a trap here worth knowing. Automatic cash drawers open on a pulse sent by a receipt printer over an RJ11 cable, and Atiéndalo prints no receipts and drives no printers. Buy one of those without a receipt printer and it is just an expensive key drawer.

The one we recommend: it opens with a key and depends on no cable and no printer.

Opens on a pulse from a receipt printer. Atiéndalo prints no receipts, so this only makes sense if you already have one.
The Atiéndalo cash count is independent of the drawer: you open a shift with a float, record cash in and out, and close by counting. That is in Cash register & closing.
