Atiéndalo vs Square
Why a generic point of sale doesn't understand consignment
Square and counter POS systems assume all the stock is yours. When every piece has a different owner, rate and rent, the arithmetic is still yours at month-end.

What a generic point of sale doesn't do
Square works well for a café or a shop with one owner of the goods. A multi-brand shop needs three more things.
It doesn't know whose piece it is
It records the total sold, but not what share goes to the brand or what the shop keeps. That arithmetic is yours, elsewhere.
It doesn't deduct booth rent
If you charge rent for a rack, a shelf or a showcase, there is nowhere to put it and no way to take it off the period's sales.
Brands see nothing
There is no place for each brand to check its sales and stock. You export a general report and cut out by hand what belongs to each one.

Frequently asked questions
Does Atiéndalo take card payments?
With a Mercado Pago Point terminal, yes. The register sends the amount to the terminal and the sale records itself on approval. With any other terminal you record the payment and its authorization number.
Can I use Square to charge and Atiéndalo for the brands?
You can, but then you type every sale twice. The point of Atiéndalo is that the split comes out of the very sale you charged.
Can I bring my products over from another point of sale?
Yes. Export your catalog to Excel or CSV from the system you use and upload it. You review how we read each column before anything is saved, and you can keep the barcodes already on your labels. Past sales are not imported.
What about mixed payments, part card and part cash?
They go on one ticket with several payments. The terminal fee is computed only on the part that came in by card.
Is there a fee on my sales?
No. Atiéndalo costs 500 MXN a month per shop and nothing per sale. The terminal fee belongs to your bank or Mercado Pago, not to us.
